Tomcat - Summary

In this chapter, we have discussed the confi guration of Tomcat including data source confi guration for the different databases (Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL) and the context path creation using a sample application, various ways to perform deployment including deployment using the Tomcat Manager for the sample application. We also discussed troubleshooting of common issues.

In the next chapter, we will discuss performance tuning for Tomcat 7 in terms of the JVM and OS level.
